Welcome to our website! Our guild, the Obsidian Spur, has been in existence since the release of WoW in November of 2004. We're a casual Horde guild on the PvP server Sargeras, originally founded by members of the Penny Arcade forums. Some of those members are still active today, but the vast majority of them don't play anymore. Our current community consists of a variety of players, many of whom have been with us for years now.

Although we host a few raids each week, during which we clear the current 10-man content, we are not a raiding guild that follows a routine schedule of weekly 25-mans. Our guild has gone through many transitions over the past four years, from hardcore 40-man raiding days to its current state of relaxation. We want to keep it the way it is right now. We like to keep our guild a place where you can log on and have some good fun with your guildmates in 10-mans or whatever it may be. We don't want you to feel as if you need to get online during certain nights of the week as if the game is a ball and chain. You don't need to justify your play time here.

We welcome anyone to our guild, whether you want to level, work on alts, PvP, run heroics, run 10-mans, work on achievements, hang out, or just find a place to call home. We've been around since day one, and have survived through thick and thin, which is something most guilds can't stand up to. We're always around, just having a good time.

Our guild is a comedic community and there's a good chance you'll be punched in the dick upon arrival. You will also probably be ridiculed in some way, shape, or form. If your grammar isn't up to par, you'll be whacked across the face with a keyboard. We also hold ties with players in another small guild called Anarchic Asylum, and we enjoy AoEing the gong with them near TAQ quite frequently, causing multiple server crashes.

Abusing the Boards

We do not heavily moderate the forums, but we want people to respect them and use common sense when posting. If you're deemed to be abusing your posting privileges, an officer may deactivate your account. Actions such as posting on every single thread or on very old threads will get you in trouble with administrators. If you think an administrator is abusing their privileges, let Akumas know right away through a PM, etc. Also, if you are having trouble creating an account, please let Wretchedmist/Akumas know right away in-game.
